Forward Physics at the LHC: from QCD to extra-dimensions and exon-like particles

Christophe Royon (University of Kansas)

CANCELLED!

In the first part of the talk, we will study how we can improve our knowledge of the proton structure from the QCD point of view by studying events with intact protons in the final state. The second part of the talk will cover photon exchanges at the LHC that allow us to be sensitive to extra-dimensions and axion-like particles at high mass with unprecedented precision at the LHC. We will finish by describing fast timing detectors that are being developed at the University of Kansas for the LHC and for medical and cosmic ray measurements applications.
