Status of ATLAS

I will review the commissioning of the ATALS experiment running up to the first beam on September 10th, 2008 and describe the data taking and status of the experiment both during the period with LHC beams and during the cosmic-ray data taking campaign that followed the end of beam operation 2008 with the incident in sector 3-4 of the LHC.
