Living long at ATLAS

Recent results from ATLAS, CMS, and other experiments have started to build a coherent picture of searches for final states involving long lived neutral particles. These final states are present in many models, including Hidden Valley, Stealth SUSY, and Higgs Portal models. These final states are possible as rare decays of the recently discovered Higgs boson as well as possible final states of other scalars as yet undiscovered. I will give a survey of the recent results from ATLAS, concentrating on experimental techniques to find long lived particles decaying to hadronic jets.
