Comments on Flavor Mix and Fluxes of High Energy Astrophysical Neutrinos

I will discuss the flavor mix of neutrino beams from extra-galactic sources of high energy neutrinos. I will show
how the observed flavor mix of the neutrinos arriving at the earth are sensitive to both the production mechanism as well as non-standard neutrino properties. I will also discuss briefly the recent data from the Icecube detector.
