Motivation and status of TeV-scale supersymmetry searches at the LHC

TeV-scale supersymmetry is a well-motivated theory for physics beyond the Standard Model, and searches for it are top priority for the experiments at the LHC. After a short introduction, I will present some generic searches, but then shift the focus to searches that are specifically targeted towards "natural supersymmetry" and dark matter candidates. I will try to discuss where we are, and give an outlook on the near future.
