13 TeV Forum: First Results from LHC Run-II

Carmen Diez Pardos (DESY), James William Howarth (DESY)
Seminar room 3, 15:00

The LHC and its experiments restarted operation in 2015 at a new centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. In the following six years, a total amount of ~300 fb-1 of integrated luminosity is expected to be collected, however, even with the relatively small data-set collected during summer, important measurements have already been made in a variety of topics.

In this seminar, selected results will be presented from the first 13 TeV data recently collected by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations, covering such topics as vector boson physics, top-quark physics, QCD and searches for beyond the standard model physics.
