Low Energy Neutrino Astronomy and Results from BOREXINO

The solar neutrinos experiment BOREXINO is taking data since May 2007.
In this talk first results on the direct detection of low energy solar
neutrinos are reported. Background rejection and prospects of BOREXINO
for the next years are discussed. Finally studies on future projects
in this field are presented.
