Electroweak Results from the LHC

Seminar Room 3, 15:00h

The first year of the LHC operation provided plenty of accurate
data to rediscover the standard model physics at the highest
energy frontier. Excellent performance of the ATLAS and CMS
detectors enabled an accurate measurement of the production
of the standard model W and Z bosons. The data are compared
with the NNLO theory predictions which use the HERA data as
input. Constraints on the proton structure from the early LHC data
are discussed. Promising start of the LHC in 2011 should allow
for high precision measurements within the standard model in
near future, and perhaps give a glimpse on the physics beyond it.
