LHeC - A Status Report

A report is given on the preparations, the physics, machine and detector, for a Conceptual Design Report of a Large Hadron Electron Collider (LHeC), a TeV cms energy ep and eA collider which is being studied, under the auspices of ECFA and CERN, as a possible upgrade of the LHC.
