Total pp and p-bar p cross section measurements at 2, 7, 8, and 57 TeV

This presentation reviews the status of total cross section measurements in light of new results from the Large Hadron Collider and AUGER. We present an overview of the tools used to describe these measurements and discuss how the total cross section can be divided into subprocesses. We describe the various experimental techniques used at collider and cosmic-ray experiments and present the measurements challenges and their interpretations.
